What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga Therapy is the application of yoga principles tailored to meet your unique needs. It’s not about achieving perfect poses or flexibility—it’s about learning to connect with yourself through movement, breath, and mindfulness.

Unlike traditional group yoga classes, Yoga Therapy is a one-on-one experience. Together, we’ll explore practices that fit your emotional challenges, goals, and lifestyle.

As defined by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, Yoga Therapy empowers individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the teachings and practices of yoga.

Why Work With Me?

My approach to Yoga Therapy is grounded, personal, and rooted in real life. As a Black man, I’ve navigated spaces where emotional wellness and vulnerability often aren’t prioritized. My background in podcasting, nonprofit work, and program development has always been yoga-informed, and now I’m taking it a step further to offer tools you can actively use to support your own healing.

I’m not your stereotypical yoga instructor. I lift weights, I’m not super flexible, and I approach life with a focus on strength—both physical and emotional. Together, we’ll create a plan that works for you, so you leave each session feeling more connected and equipped to manage your emotional health.

What to Expect in a Session

Each session begins with a conversation. You’ll share what’s on your mind and what you hope to achieve. From there, we’ll explore your lifestyle, habits, and emotions to create a plan that includes:

  • Breathwork to calm the mind.

  • Mindful movement to release tension and build awareness.

  • Space for reflection to help you uncover what’s beneath the surface.

Together, we’ll build practices you can use daily to support your emotional wellness and personal growth.

Accessible Pricing & Options

Yoga Therapy with me is accessible and straightforward:

  • Sessions are $150 per week for 2x 75 minute video calls.

  • Virtual sessions are available, or we can arrange in-person sessions in North New Jersey/NYC or when travel allows.

  • Package options are available for those seeking a more structured, ongoing commitment.
